The base for this piece is a result of many experiments, remaking and refining ideas. The way it lead to adding Ankh and chains is still a mystery to me.
When I think about combinations of materials as I turn them over with my hands - sometimes it clicks - and you just know: this is it!
This feeling is the reason why I do this at all. And with this particular piece it happened several times.
I find it very interesting how it works with different outfits AKA on different canvases.

A stone from Kas
beads collected from odd sources + green stone from Kas
In the center of this necklace is a stone I brought back from when I lived in Kas for a short time. It was a very special time in my life, and I fell in love with this small town and its residents.

It started in a simple linear combo with colorful bits being watered down by muted bit with natural vibes (wood + glass). Then I thought - what if I put it on a grid..
and it turns out the impression changes very much with multiplication. I couldn't wait to finish this one, it was surprisingly unpredictable until it was completely done.

beads and randomly collected materials
This piece came out from two experiments. The first one was around creating a patter with a long period of repetition - an idea that haunts me. Long periods are not as easy to read as short ones and they give a pleasant almost intriguing complexity when closely observed while being regular enough when seen from afar.
The other idea was around combining random materials that seem to fit together. It contains elements made of wood, metal, glass, stone and plastic. That diversity feels tribal and magical to me.

This duo started with the bracelet, whose design is quite literally this pattern with variations that broke repetitiveness. Adding chaos to a pattern is my special interest or something.
For the necklace I've kept the structure of the central element, and moved even further away from repetition since the symmetry allowed that.

Lace choker
lace and beads
Isn't it crazy these things are called "chockers"? This one was specially designed for my friend Aria as a replacement for the previous piece built on a similar idea that have worn down. This time it is fortified with mesh fabric for longevity.
